According to this, the CBS producers think you can't possibly be deaf AND gay; or African American AND gay; you can only be one 'thing' for the viewing public to get their heads round.

They don't know what they are missing by not have a totally gay cast. Four Teams of Lesbians against 4 groups of gey men (One bear couple, One drag couple, one twinky couple, one 'Sisters'-drag')..it would be fabulous

That sounds like a Logo show - since apparently, CBS can't deal with more than a couple of gay folk per reality show.
