Do I really need to tell you that when I return home for a visit (maybe August rather than the usual December trip) that that this will be on the itinerary?
Yeah - I thought the curator was kinda hot. I don't know if the curator has any connection with the 'reviver' of the show, Russell T. Davies, but he's a big Welsh family member and it seems like an awful lot of the folk associated with the show are gay, too, so you never know.
I'll have to have a deep conversation with the curator when I visit the Kelvin Hall!
That is surprisingly good for the summer. I was thinking about taking AA to Dublin or Shannon, spending a few days there, then finding a flight to Glasgow.
If you know someone who works for British Air it's even cheaper under their Friends and Family program. My neighbor, and friend, works for Brit Air and has told me that a round trip would be about $500.00 this summer.
The impression I get from the clip is that this is likely to be an exhibition of things from the 'new era'. But you never know - there might also be something there for those of us who grew up with Mr. Baker in the 70s... :-)
If its the same exhibition that was in Earls Court it will be all new stuff, with only a blink and you'll miss it photo display of past Doctors. Its pretty cool - and it would have been nice to see it tie the old and the new together, but I imagine some of the 60s-80s props are in a really bad way...
Well, that would be cool indeed. I think there's a very high chance I'll be making an August trip. Glasgow Uni Geography Dept is doing some kind of centenary bash in August, and I'm seriously thinking of going. As plans firm up, I'll certainly let you know.
