No - not [livejournal.com profile] paterson_si or [livejournal.com profile] mitjablazic or [livejournal.com profile] vksi.... :-)

THE Queen is in that lovely country at the moment. So, I want my three Slovenian LJ friends to get into the crowds and wave, and get their picture taken with her. Those three beary boys and HRH Queen Elizabeth - what a pic that would be. :-)

I see she's going to be presented with a Lipizzaner horse while she's there. This reminds me of a TV show from when I was a kiddie, that was filmed in Slovenia (well, Yugoslavia then). The theme music is probably permanently stuck in the heads of all British 30- and 40-somethings... (about the first 1:30 mins of this clip).

I was just watching the clip, and the heroine is introduced as "the niece of the Stud Director. She comes from Ljubljana..."

I wonder who the Stud Director in Ljubljana is now - is it you? ;-)

Is this, like the Gay-est 60s Show Ever?

The clip sure is!

I didn't stand a chance, did I? There are a few other British TV theme tunes of my era alongside that YouTube that bring back memories for me. "Robinson Crusoe" was fairly gay (well - two men alone on an island..) and "Double Deckers" was a great kiddie adventure show of the early 70s.

We used to get a surprising number of Eastern European children's TV programs for some reason - such as this Czech/East German version of Cinderella (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f7XWEgVc7w) that I remember well. I remember thinking the prince was dreamy.... ;-) Apparently, this is now the equivalent of "It's a Wonderful Life" in Scandinavia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Nuts_for_Cinderella), where it's a Xmas tradition.

Did she bring her grandsons Harry and William along, too?

That would be quite a party at your place... :-)
