According to this, the CBS producers think you can't possibly be deaf AND gay; or African American AND gay; you can only be one 'thing' for the viewing public to get their heads round.

They don't know what they are missing by not have a totally gay cast. Four Teams of Lesbians against 4 groups of gey men (One bear couple, One drag couple, one twinky couple, one 'Sisters'-drag') would be fabulous

That sounds like a Logo show - since apparently, CBS can't deal with more than a couple of gay folk per reality show.

Mike White, Mel's son, has said he was bi in the past. But as the article said, on this show, he said he was gay. Maybe bi-ness was too exotic, as well, so he was told to tone it down...

Well we are just transitioning after all. Or so they tell me. ;)

The foreigner that I am, I have no idea what that show is like (not that I'm really interested). But I know some people IRL who are too limited to understand such a "complicated" concept as bisexuality, so I guess it's just as complicated as somebody being deaf and gay at once.

Nah it's simple; we're just hornier than everyone else. ;)
